Baking Techniques & Oven Mastery

The final and perhaps most crucial step in pizza making is the baking process. Our classes provide hands-on experience with professional wood-fired ovens, teaching you how to manage temperature, timing, and placement for perfect results every time.

Wood-Fired Oven Experience

Work with authentic wood-fired ovens that reach temperatures of 800-900°F (425-480°C), learning how to read the oven's heat, position pizzas correctly, and achieve the characteristic leopard-spotted crust that defines Neapolitan pizza. Our instructors will teach you how to use the pizza peel confidently, rotate pizzas during cooking, and recognize when your pizza has reached perfection.

You'll learn the differences between various oven types and how to adapt techniques for home ovens, including how to use pizza stones, steel plates, and other tools to replicate professional results in your own kitchen. Understanding heat management, steam creation, and timing will transform your home pizza making from good to exceptional.

Each participant will have multiple opportunities to practice the complete pizza-making process, from dough stretching through final baking. Our small class sizes ensure everyone receives individual attention and feedback, allowing you to refine your technique and ask questions throughout the session.
